Moving Through Grief
A creative movement project exploring grief, memory and connection.
Grief can change the way we move through the world. It can live in our bodies, our memories, our relationships and in the things we find difficult to put into words.
Moving Through Grief is a gentle, creative project from Embody & Connect CIC, using movement, music, creativity and shared experiences to explore what grief can look and feel like.
The project creates a safe and welcoming space for people to come together, move at their own pace and connect with others who understand that grief is not a linear journey.
Through creative movement activities, conversation, reflection and simple embodied practices, participants are invited to explore memories, emotions, relationships and the changing experience of loss.
There is no expectation to dance or perform. Movement can be as simple as a breath, a gesture, a walk or sitting together and listening.
What the project offers;
-
Gentle, accessible movement and creative activities
-
Opportunities to share stories and memories, if and when you choose
-
Space to explore emotions through the body rather than words alone
-
Connection with others experiencing grief and loss
-
Time for reflection, creativity and self-expression
-
A supportive, welcoming environment where there is no “right” way to grieve
-
At the heart of Moving Through Grief is the belief that grief does not need to be fixed or rushed. Sometimes, we simply need space to acknowledge what has changed, remember what matters and find new ways of connecting with ourselves and others.
Moving Through Grief is about making space for loss, honouring memories and discovering ways to keep moving — together.
